Our New Garden

Outside our classroom was boring. There was nowhere to sit and the plants were old and ordinary.
We asked Mr Edmonds if he could build us some new seats. He said "Sure!" and very soon we had some lovely new seats and a garden space.
Next we talked about what kind of things we could grow and we drew a garden plan.
We couldn't all go to the garden centre so Mrs Dell pulled 4 names out of a bag. Then Simon, Mackenzie, Rhys and Milla went to the garden centre in Mrs Dell's car. They bought some seeds and plants for the garden.
The next day we had some parent helpers come and help us in the garden. In pairs we each planted something different in the garden.
We now have peas, giant sunflowers, strawberries, radishes, carrots, lettuces, calendula and some other flowers growing.
We think it looks awesome and we hope we will be able to eat some of the things we have grown before the end of the year.
