Traction Man

Last Friday we went to Room 7 and read a really cool book called "Traction man" by Mini Grey. We then made rocket balloons using these materials:

Balloons, straws, string, tape, pegs or paperclips and a Traction Man template.

As the balloon deflated, it pushed out the air inside it. The air pushed the balloon along the string in the opposite direction. Scientists describe this with a rule –every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
Last week in Room 6 we read "The very busy spider" by Eric Carle and then we made a spider slider with a partner. It was so much fun we forgot to take any photos.
